Amanda joined Deseo in 2018 after moving to Denver from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Amanda started as a receptionist at an upscale salon in high school and took on nearly every role in the salon; beginning as a stylist in 2013. Amanda attended the University of New Mexico and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Amanda mastered the art of updos, braids, curls, and all things styling by helping her sorority sisters style their hair and advising on current trends. With a passion for art, she decided to attend cosmetology school after college. She has attended classes with expert stylists and brand ambassadors, including a styling, razor cuts, and men’s haircutting class in Santa Fe with session stylists.
Amanda is an expert when it comes to color, specializing in blondes. She utilizes a variety of techniques to ensure the perfect and unique look for each client’s individual personal style and lifestyle. Whether it’s a head full of foils or a hand-painted, sun-kissed, just got back from the beach look, you will leave loving your hair. Amanda loves combining different techniques such as balayage, foliage, baby lights, sombres, ombres, and everything in between! Amanda has worked with several different color lines such as Goldwell, Davines, Redken, Matrix, but is happy to say she finally found her favorite line of them all, Wella, here at Deseo.
Amanda constantly implements the newest trends and the latest technologies available by attending hair shows throughout the country. In addition to her color expertise, Amanda is certified in facial waxing and smoothing hair treatments, like Brazilian Blowout, Keratin Complex, Lasio Keratin Treatment, and Keratherapy. She is knowledgeable in many retail lines including Davines, Morocanoil, Enjoy, Orbie, Kevin Murphy, and Kerastase.
When Amanda is away from the salon, she loves doing hot yoga and going to the gym. Living in LoHi she is quickly making her way through all the amazing restaurants in her neighborhood. Amanda loves her job because she loves seeing the transformation of her clients from when they walk through the door to when they are leaving her chair, not only externally but internally.
