Long-lasting, brilliant color to suit your mood
If you are thinking about getting your hair colored, but have questions about commitment or what color is best for your complexion, you need to consult with Deseo Salon and BlowDry professionals in the Jefferson Park neighborhood in Denver Colorado about all over color. This should be a stress free, informed decision between you and your stylist. It’s easy to feel a little overwhelmed when it comes to all over hair color, especially when it comes to telling your hairstylist what you really want. What is “hair contouring”? What about “balayage”? Let’s start with the basics! All-over color is also commonly called “single-process hair color”. All-over color is a one-step process that involves coating the hair with a single shade. When it comes to all-over/single process hair color, there are three levels: semi-permanent, demi-permanent, and permanent.
The three different levels of all-over color vary in strength and in how long they last. Permanent color, lasts the longest. It’s also typically the only all-over color that employs ammonia (or ammonia derivatives), meaning that it’s a little tougher on your strands, but it can lighten or darken your hair up to 4 levels in either direction.
Demi-permanent hair color is much gentler on your locks, but in exchange, it doesn’t last quite as long. It generally only lasts 24-26 shampoos. Of course, you can probably guess that semi-permanent hair color is the gentlest—and the fastest to fade. If you’re not quite ready to commit to a color, you can always try out a semi-permanent shade before you take the plunge.
You expect long-lasting, brilliant color to suit your mood so we use Wella color exclusively for high-end results that endure. Remember, your Deseo stylist’s expert opinion and knowledge will help guide you through the hair coloring process. During your all-over-color appointment, your stylist will consider your desired results, evaluate your hair’s condition, and look at your skin tone and coloring to create the perfect, custom color formulation. And remember, if you hear a hair color term you don’t understand or are unsure of, don’t be afraid to ask your stylist to explain!
